Maze Talk!

A maze, for the uninitiated, is a network of paths — some of which get you where you're going, most of which don't. You start somewhere, you're trying to get somewhere else, and the whole point is that the route between the two isn't obvious. Dead ends, loops, forks that look identical: that's the genre. A protocol is the opposite bet: an agreed-upon set of moves that gets you from here to there without anyone having to guess. A maze hides the path and makes you find it; a protocol publishes the path so nobody has to. One is a puzzle, the other is infrastructure — and the interesting question is what happens when you can't tell which one you're standing in.
